Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist II in NICU at Cobb Hospital (WellStar Health System) responsible for delivering complex respiratory care including ventilator management, airway management, and aerosolized/medical gas therapy; performs arterial blood gas collection/analysis, medication administration, and patient/family education; collaborates with the healthcare team, mentors staff and students, and participates in education and quality initiatives. Night shift, full-time role located in Chester, OK. Requires leadership in critical care scenarios, adherence to policies, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- BLS - Instructor
- BLS - Provisional
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- ACLS - Instructor
- ACLS - Provisional
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- PALS - Instructor
- PALS - Provisional
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- NRP - Instructor
- NRP-Provisional
- Graduate of a respiratory therapy program
- NICU experience preferred
