Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist II in NICU at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. Night shift, full-time role focusing on critical care respiratory support, ventilator management, and patient/family education. Responsibilities include medication administration, ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, weaning, extubation, airway management, and collaboration with the health-care team to deliver high-quality care. Includes educational duties for staff and students, adherence to policies, and ongoing professional development. Requires completion of an accredited RT program with 0-2 years of clinical experience in critical care and active licensure/certification as a Respiratory Therapist; multiple advanced life support certifications are listed as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHEP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- ACLS Required
- PALS Required
- NRP Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Required
- BLS Instructor/Provisional (if listed) Optional or as applicable
- ACLS Instructor/Provisional (if listed) Optional or as applicable
- PALS Instructor/Provisional (if listed) Optional or as applicable
