Job Summary
Deliver patient care in complex critical care situations involving protocol ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis. Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy while performing patient assessments and collaborating on care plans. Educate patients and families, mentor new employees, and support staff development within the NICU. Complete patient care documentation and education while maintaining high standards for medication safety and performance improvement initiatives. Work full-time night shifts as a Registered Respiratory Therapist II with NICU experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Associate's Degree A.S. degree
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well
- Critical thinking skills
- Establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- Computer skills including familiarity with databases
- Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills
