Job Summary
Assess and recommend treatments for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions, administering advanced respiratory therapies including medical gas therapy, bronchial hygiene, and mechanical ventilation. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage emergency resuscitation, airway management, and the operation of departmental ventilators, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, and aerosolized medication systems. Requires a minimum of two years of critical care experience, an RRT credential, Maryland State License, BLS, and ACLS certification. Offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000.00 and salary range of $37.02 to $61.11 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of critical care experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure
- Maryland State License to Practice Respiratory Care
- BLS certification
- Competence in operating and maintaining departmental ventilators
- Competence in high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV)
- Competence in aerosolized medication systems
- Competence in oxygen and compressed gas systems
- Competence in nitric oxide administration systems
- Competence in bronchopulmonary hygiene equipment
- Competence in devices used in the care of artificial and natural airways
- Documented proof/demonstration of all activities required of an RRT II
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- NBRC Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) certification
