Registered Respiratory Therapist I provides respiratory care in the Carolinas Medical Center Respiratory Therapy Services. Responsibilities include administering oxygen delivery and various ventilation modalities, initiating and monitoring mechanical and non-invasive ventilators, evaluating current therapies, and making recommendations for plans of care and patient education. The role requires performing diagnostic procedures, blood sampling analysis, documenting therapy and results in the EMR, communicating with the health care team, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
