Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders, consults with physicians on therapy effectiveness, and serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care. Shift is 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Requires completion of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, active RCP licensure, and NBRC-credentialed RRT; PALS required for ER staff. ACLS preferred. Emphasizes collaboration within a caring, team-based healthcare environment and offers comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program
- Licensure: current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements
- Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- Experience: None
- Emergency Room: PALS required for ER staff (if applicable)
- Physical demands: ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs, kneel/crouch/crawl
- Preferred: ACLS
