Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist responsible for ABG, PFTs, and various forms of ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy, and airway maintenance. Proficient in respiratory assessment and treatment of adults and neonates, performed under indirect supervision of medical director. Duties include interpreting CXR/ABG/PFT data, preparing treatment evaluations, equipment maintenance, infection control, and patient satisfaction. Requires license and NBRC registration; hospital is a Magnet-designated 443-bed acute care center serving Richardson, Garland, Plano and surrounding areas; Level III NICU and Level III Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
