Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist position at Methodist Richardson Medical Center (Dallas/Collin counties area) on a 7p-7a night shift (12X3 Night). Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and perform diagnostic testing per physician orders and protocols. Requires Texas licensure as an RCP, in-good-standing status, BLS, and applicable certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) with a 1-year window to obtain them after hire; NBRC-registered or Registry-eligible with 6-month path to Registered status if certified; minimum 6 months respiratory care experience. Responsibilities emphasize clear communication, relationship-building, accountability, patient experience improvement, professional growth, teamwork, and ongoing engagement. Hospital is a 443-bed acute care facility serving Richardson, Garland, Plano and surrounding areas; recognized as a Magnet-designated employer with multiple stroke and cancer-care certifications. Location: Denton, TX (US). The posting notes night shifts with rotating Sundays through Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal/Perinatal Life Support (NRP/PALS where applicable) certifications - must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- If Certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
