Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist position requiring collaboration with multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based pulmonary care and diagnostic testing per physician orders and protocols. Responsibilities include clear communication, relationship-building to foster collaboration, accountability, patient experience improvement, proactive professional growth, and contributing to a high-performing team. The role is based at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, a Magnet-designated, Level III Neonatal ICU and Level III Trauma Center, serving the Dallas/Collin counties area; the center emphasizes award-winning employer recognition and specialized stroke, pancreatic/hepatic/biliary cancer certifications. Qualifications include Texas RCP licensure, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS where applicable (within 1 year), NBRC registration (or registry eligibility with status within 6 months), and a minimum of 6 months of respiratory care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS), NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support where applicable certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire)
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- If Certified, must be Registry eligible and obtain Registered status within 6 months of hire
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
