Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders, consulting on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing. Execute assigned duties utilizing appropriate respiratory care devices while meeting state licensure and RRT credential requirements. Work the 7 pm-7 am shift at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, eligible for shift differential and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Preferred critical care experience and ACLS certification enhance candidacy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Use of all appropriate respiratory care devices
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
