Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders, consult physicians on therapy effectiveness, and act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing. Execute duties as assigned using appropriate respiratory care devices while meeting physical demands including pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. Maintain current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure and hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, with PALS required for Emergency Room co-workers. Prefer critical care experience and Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS required for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Ability to use all appropriate respiratory care devices
