Registered Respiratory Therapist Float

Job Summary
Assess patients for appropriate treatment frequency and develop care plans based on diagnosis. Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment while recording and communicating patient conditions. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate practices, medication administration, and treatment outcomes based on patient results. Educate patients and families about health conditions, community support groups, and available programs. Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes. Work day shifts from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola, with the ability to float between Pensacola hospital and Freestanding EDs in Pensacola, Perdido, Pace, and Navarre.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
- Ability to work between Pensacola hospital and Freestanding EDs in Pensacola, Perdido, Pace and Navarre
