Job Summary
Evaluate and administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders; consult with physicians concerning the development and modification of patient care plans. Eligible candidates are NBRC-registered RRTs licensed or eligible for Alabama LRT, with BLS (and ACLS/PALS as required by unit), and available for flexi/PRN shifts at UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy
- Currently registered as an RRT by NBRC
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as an LRT with the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy
- BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment
