Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy treatments and interventions for neonatal and pediatric patients while assessing needs and developing individualized care plans. Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitor progress, and modify care plans as needed. Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory conditions, operate respiratory care equipment, and maintain strict infection prevention and safety protocols. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, serve as a preceptor to team members, and collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to resolve workflow concerns. This full-time night shift role at Mercy Hospital supports critical care services, requires an RRT credential, and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and $7,000 relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care Program
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver equipment up to 50 pounds
- Strong critical-thinking, communication, and patient care skills
- PALS Certification (required for therapists working in the Emergency Department)
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric or neonatal respiratory care experience
- Critical care experience
- ACLS Certification
