REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with pulmonary disorders, collecting sputum, blood, and breath samples to assess oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and measuring lung function. Administers physician-prescribed treatments for breathing abnormalities, supports the department under the RT Manager, and adheres to Wyoming State Board of Respiratory Care and AARC licensure rules. Essential duties include assisting with admission/discharge processes, ensuring cost-efficiency, delivering excellent customer service, EMR documentation, maintaining patient confidentiality, effective communication with internal/external stakeholders, equipment monitoring, ongoing continuing education, after-hours call coverage, equipment decontamination and calibration, patient/family education, and performing a full range of diagnostic and treatment modalities within scope of practice. Sleep Center coverage requires 10 CEUs/year. Must comply with Corporate Compliance Program and hospital policies; other duties as assigned.
