Registered Respiratory Therapist

Provide direct patient care activities related to respiratory care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within the guidelines of the hospital and department. Independently apply advanced clinical respiratory expertise, support routine as well as specialized procedures (ECMO, ventilator management, bronchoscopy, sleep lab, cardiopulmonary rehab). Educate patients, families and healthcare staff; ensure patient safety and compliance with quality/regulatory standards; collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in continuous learning, documentation, and effective handoffs.
