Job Summary
Lead patient assessments to design personalized care plans targeting specific respiratory needs and improve recovery outcomes. Manage advanced respiratory treatments and life-support equipment to ensure stability and safety for patients with complex breathing challenges. Empower patients and their families through clear education, ensuring they feel confident and supported in managing their health journey. Support life-saving efforts as a key member of the emergency resuscitation team, providing rapid, expert intervention during critical, high-stakes moments. This full-time night shift role at Ascension St. John Medical Center requires licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for BLS Provider
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
- Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter accepted until license is issued
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for Advanced Life Support
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted for Pediatric Advanced Life Support
