Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care, manage ventilators, assist with bronchoscopy procedures and monitoring, initiate and coordinate ventilator management, perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation and intubation, operate high-frequency ventilators, and support NICU therapies (surfactant delivery, intubation, and high-risk deliveries); may participate in transport, nitric oxide delivery, and other department-specific duties while adhering to departmental policies and leveraging EPIC charting. Includes educational and certification opportunities, safety features, and loan forgiveness or reimbursement options for eligible staff.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS , BLS required
