Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care responsibilities, manage ventilators, implement cardiorespiratory protocols, and perform advanced airway care. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, monitoring consciousness and cardiovascular/pulmonary status, delivering IV conscious sedation, initiating ventilator protocols, coordinating ventilator management, performing advanced airway care (tracheotomy changes, extubation and intubation), initiating and monitoring high frequency ventilators, NICU duties (surfactant delivery, intubation, attend high risk deliveries), optional transport team/back-up charge therapist, and nitric oxide delivery. Requires NBRC RRT credential, NM license, ACLS/PALS, and BLS; associates-level education or higher and 6 months to 1 year critical care experience preferred. Role supported by tuition/certification reimbursement and wellness programs; PRN opportunity in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS
- BLS
