Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care, manage ventilators, and assist with bronchoscopy procedures and advanced airway care (including tracheotomy changes, extubation, intubation, and high-frequency ventilation). Perform NICU-related duties such as surfactant delivery and attend high-risk deliveries when applicable; may participate in transport and standby backup charge therapist; implement nitric oxide delivery and department-specific duties as assigned. Requires NBRC RRT credential, NM licensure, ACLS/PALS and BLS; 2–3 years of college-level respiratory care coursework or associate degree/diploma; critical care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS
- BLS required
