Job Summary
Provide routine and advanced respiratory care; manage ventilators; assist with bronchoscopy procedures; monitor cardiovascular and pulmonary status; deliver IV conscious sedation and reversal agents; initiate and monitor ventilator protocols and high-frequency ventilation; perform advanced airway care including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation; deliver surfactant in NICU settings; potentially participate in transport, nitric oxide delivery, and other department-specific duties; optional roles in transport or back-up charge therapy; work in a PRN capacity with varied days and hours; requires NBRC RRT, NM license, ACLS/PALS and BLS; 2-3 years of college-level study or an associate degree/diploma in respiratory care; employment with Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care
- New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC
- ACLS and/or PALS, BLS required
- Six months to one year critical care experience preferred
