Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients, including therapeutic treatments, ventilator management, emergency airway support, and response to Code Blue, MRT, and PRT calls. Assess respiratory status, develop individualized care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and support pulmonary rehabilitation through exercise supervision and patient education. Perform pulmonary function and diagnostic testing such as spirometry and lung volumes, while assisting with cardiac services like EKGs and stress tests. Cover general, pediatric, emergency, PACU, and adult critical care units, with some assignments in other clinical areas as directed. Work 72-80 hours per pay in afternoons or nights, with housing assistance and a $27,000 bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan or eligible to apply
- Schedule: Afternoons/Nights, 72-80 hours per pay
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) who is registry-eligible allowed entry into job classification – RRT must be obtained within 4 months to remain in RRT classification
