Job Summary
Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients across general, pediatric, emergency, PACU, and critical care units. Manage ventilators, support emergency airways, and respond to Code Blue, MRT, and PRT calls. Assess respiratory status, develop care plans, and maintain accurate documentation while conducting pulmonary function testing and diagnostic procedures. Supervise pulmonary rehabilitation sessions, coordinate home equipment evaluations, and assist with cardiac diagnostics including EKGs and stress tests. Maintain infection control practices and verify EMR orders. Schedule includes nights, 24-36 hours per week, with a $20,250 bonus. Requires RRT certification through NBRC.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Currently licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan or eligible to apply
- Schedule: Nights, 24-36 hours per week, 6:42PM-7:12AM
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) who is registry-eligible allowed entry into job classification – RRT must be obtained within 4 months to remain in RRT classification
