Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides advanced-level respiratory care, interprets diagnostic testing (including arterial gases), administers medications, documents care, and collaborates with physicians and nurses to monitor and improve patient outcomes. The role supports education of patients and families, participates in quality improvement activities, may float to other departments as needed, and may be placed on-call. Includes shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends and a full-time 36-hour weekly schedule in Grand Junction, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program
- Education from an accredited institution
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT)
- Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Certifications such as PALS, ACLS, NRP as required
