Registered Respiratory Pediatric Care Practitioner

Assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders and oversee the clinical administration of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care modalities. Operates devices such as mechanical ventilators and other respiratory care products, administers therapeutic gases, and provides emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR. Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases, evaluates treatment parameters, and follows physician orders to adjust therapy. Monitors patient response via vital signs, ABG analysis, auscultation, pulse oximetry and end-tidal CO2. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and the care team to modify the plan of care, while adhering to safety policies and institutional codes of conduct. Performs other duties as assigned and participates in safety and compliance training; understands and supports system-wide goals and benefits.
