Job Summary
Produce x-ray images of specified body areas, position and instruct patients, and perform portable procedures as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units. Process films for radiologists, prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens and stocking supplies, and protect patients from radiation using lead shields. Assist in administering contrast agents while monitoring dosages and determining potential allergies. Maintain patient information by purging or updating film jackets and filing reports to ensure accurate records. Work 36 hours per week from Friday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, earning between $29.14 and $44.94 per hour with weekend shift differentials. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program
- Ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current license/certification in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department
