Job Summary
Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures, perform x-ray procedures using portable machines in the Emergency Department and nursing units, process films for radiologists, prepare/clean patient rooms, protect patients from radiation using lead shields and safety factors, assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and allergies, maintain patient records, and ensure a clean, efficient environment. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved radiological training program, ARRT registry eligibility, current state license/certification (if applicable), and current BLS. Typically 1+ year of relevant experience preferred. Intermountain Health is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and ARRT registry eligibility
- Current license/certification in the state of practice (if applicable)
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
- At least 1 year of prior experience in a setting serving the same patient population (preferred)
