Job Summary
Advanced-level Radiology Assistant, under supervision of a radiologist, performs and assists with advanced imaging procedures (e.g., fluoroscopy, thyroid biopsies, paracentesis, arthrograms, myelograms, ultrasound-guided aspirations) and supports diagnostic workflows. Responsible for obtaining patient histories, explaining procedures, securing informed consent, assessing contraindications, documenting findings, and relaying finalized radiology reports. Maintains radiation-safety standards, provides patient-centered care, participates in quality improvement, and collaborates with radiologists to ensure timely results and effective communication. Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems and structured reporting; ability to work in a high-volume imaging environment; strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologist Assistant program
- Master’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ACLS certification
