Job Summary
Perform fluoroscopic procedures under the supervision of a radiologist, assist with image-guided procedures, and evaluate imaging studies for quality and appropriate protocols. Obtain patient histories, monitor vitals, administer contrast media as permitted, and educate patients on procedures. Ensure safety per ALARA principles; provide post-procedural instructions; collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals; communicate findings to the care team; participate in multidisciplinary discussions and document procedures and clinical findings. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologist Assistant program and a Bachelor’s Degree with 1–3 years of radiology experience; ARRT-registered RRA preferred/required; PA criminal background check required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologist Assistant program
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Radiology
- ARRT registry as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A) preferred/required
- Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system
- Masters Degree preferred
