Job Summary
Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse (RPN/RN) in geriatric area providing professional nursing services to patients with complex needs, including administration of prescribed treatments, leadership within the healthcare team, and coordination of patient care and discharge. Requires completion of an approved nursing program and active registration with the Manitoba nursing college; CPR training; ability to work in a 0.70 FTE in-person role with day, evening, and weekend shifts; emphasizes adherence to RHPA, PHIA, and related regulations and may involve Indigenous-language knowledge and culturally sensitive care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program
- Active registration with CRPNM or CRNM
- CPR training per employer policy
- Experience asset: up to 2 years related mental health experience preferred
- Knowledge of RHPA, PHIA, WHMIS, and related acts
- Demonstrated communication and critical thinking skills
