Job Summary
Nurse responsible for direct client care and the planning, implementation, and evaluation of client treatment plans within the Intensive Treatment Service. Provides therapeutic clinical interventions and milieu management, administers and monitors medications and related procedures, collaborates with families and community supports, and maintains professional relationships within the inter-professional team to meet client needs. Requires registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba; experience in psychiatry is essential with child/adolescent mental health experience preferred. In-person shift coverage includes days, evenings, weekends, and standby as required; 1.0 FTE in Winnipeg.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in psychiatry is essential
- Graduate from an approved program in Psychiatric Nursing or Nursing (B.Sc.P.N., B.Sc. M.H. or B.Sc.N. preferred)
- Active registration with CRPNM or CRNM
- Active participation in professional associations preferred
- RHPA/RN/RPN scope of practice
- Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable/Adult Abuse Registry checks required
