Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals with mental health diagnoses and histories of criminal offending within a custodial setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate recovery using evidence-based treatment approaches while consulting across units including Aire, Erskine, Moroka, and Tambo. Liaise effectively with reception, outpatients, and at-risk services, rotating throughout Ravenhall teams to build comprehensive service understanding. Practice within a recovery framework guided by Forensic Mental Health Nursing Standards and the National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
- Possess current registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) standards of practice
- Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of contemporary mental health nursing practices
- Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of relevant legislation
- Significant experience in mental health nursing
- Preference for experience within a custodial setting
- Thorough understanding and demonstrated commitment to mental health consumer recovery
- Influenza and Immunisation Evidence
- Subject to a Police Check
