Job Summary
Lead field teams in vegetation management along utility rights-of-way, coordinate with property owners, contractors, and public agencies, secure permits and perform pre-inspections and post-audits to ensure compliance with silvicultural and safety standards. Advise PG&E on timberlands and timber-valuation strategies, assist in planning timber harvests, complete CALFIRE documentation for approvals, supervise logging contractors, monitor adherence to contracts and regulations, conduct timber inventories, and maintain relationships with CALTRANS, CALFIRE, USFS, and BLM. Promote ISA standards, ensure job-site safety, and support emergency response as needed; role supports an employee-owned company with comprehensive benefits and a company vehicle for work use.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Registered by the State of California as a professional forester in good standing
- Valid driver’s license
- Two (2) years’ experience in hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way (preferred)
- Two weeks of overnight travel expected per year
