Registered Practical Nurse (Windsor-Essex)

Job Summary
Assess and interpret clients' physical and psychological conditions, administer medications, perform procedures, and implement physician orders while documenting full-cycle care in compliance with CNO standards and legislated nursing practices. Establish rapport with residents to address their physical, psychological, and social needs, collaborate with the medical team to develop personalized care plans, and ensure early identification of health complications. Monitor medical supplies, maintain equipment, and foster a clean, positive environment for residents, staff, and families. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned. Full-time role with 8-12 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited and recognized registered practical nursing program
- Current license as a Registered Practical Nurse with CNO, in good standing
- 1+ year of relevant experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Experience working in healthcare community centers, Public and regional health authorities, Clinics, Primary care settings, Nursing homes or Homecare agencies
- Registered Practical Nurse
- Current Certificate of Competence, College of Nurses of Ontario
- Valid Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Pharmacology Training & Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- LPN/RPN License (preferred)
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
- Work Location: In person

- CPI
- Safe Management is a plus
- CPR
- CPI, Safe Management is a plus
- Valid Pharmacology Training & Certificate is a plus
