Registered Practical Nurse

Job Summary
Distribute medications, perform treatments, and conduct assessments for residents while updating care plans and charting all nursing interventions. Facilitate communication with staff, initiate referrals to interdisciplinary team members, and collaborate with dietary and other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care. Supervise front-line nursing staff, redirect procedures when necessary, and manage resources and equipment on the unit. Comply with all health and safety regulations, infection prevention guidelines, and mandatory training requirements. Complete incident report analysis and provide action plans in conjunction with other departments.
Required Qualifications
- Recognized nursing license (RPN licensing) in good standing
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Excellent leadership skills (i.e. Diversicare/Verve Senior Living Competencies)
- Organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel and MDS/RAI)
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Some experience working within a union setting
- Resident-oriented individual, whose visions and values align with those of Diversicare
- Criminal Background Check
