Job Summary
Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care to patients with spinal stenosis, herniated discs, spinal cord injuries, tumors, and chronic pain disorders within a 28-bed specialized spine unit. Apply nursing science and critical decision-making skills to ensure practice aligns with the UHN Professional Practice Model, College of Nurses of Ontario standards, and ethical frameworks. Participate in cross-functional responsibilities and demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning through continuing education and reflective practice to improve care quality. Maintain current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, meeting physical requirements and utilizing strong organizational and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision making skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent computer skills
