Job Summary
Conduct client assessments, administer medications, and manage wound care while providing symptom control and palliative care in clients' homes. Deliver chronic disease education and rehabilitation therapy, collect specimens, and offer counseling to individuals and families. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide primary care, utilizing a full scope of practice with autonomy. This role involves driving to various locations, wearing PPE, and performing physical tasks including lifting and kneeling. Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of practice
- Must enjoy driving
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required
- A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may also be necessary
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to lift, carry, bend, reach, kneel, and perform other movements emphasizing good body mechanics
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day
