Job Summary
Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor health progress and administer medications according to nursing protocols. Develop, implement, and revise personalized care plans while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety standards across long-term care facilities and other settings. Maintain an active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario and availability for shifts across all times.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RPN) Degree from an accredited institution
- Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 1-year experience in long-term care, seniors' homes, or hospital settings
- Availability for shifts across all times (days, evenings, nights, weekends)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC): Required (valid within 1 year)
- TB Test: Required (valid within 6 months)
- Proof of current MMRV immunization required
- N95 Mask Fit Test Certification: Required
Desired Qualifications
- BLS/ACLS & eCTAS Certifications (asset)
- Proficiency in MS Word and email communication
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
