Job Summary
Provide client personal care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans, including assisting with bathing, hygiene, dressing, feeding, and recreational activities. Take direction from the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) regarding coordination of daily duties and resident care. Requires completion of an approved Personal Care Attendant Education Program, two to three years of work experience, and availability for days, nights, and weekends. Applicants must be in good health and capable of performing physical components such as lifting and transferring residents.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Personal Care Attendant Education Program from a recognized institution (or recognized nursing education)
- 2 – 3 years of work experience in the role of Personal Care Attendant
- Availability for days, nights and weekends
- Good interpersonal/communication skills
- Good health
- Capability to perform the required physical components of the position (lifting and transferring residents as needed)
