Job Summary
Assess clients, administer medication, and provide wound care while managing chronic disease education and diabetic foot ulcers. Deliver primary care in collaboration with healthcare professionals, perform specimen collection, and lead rehabilitative or palliative programs. Maintain foot hygiene, cut and file toenails, and utilize observation and counseling skills to support whole-person safety. Requires a valid Registered Practical Nurse license, driver's license, and PPE; includes comprehensive orientation, professional development, and travel compensation. Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of practice
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Detail-oriented approach
- Physical activity including lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day
- Ability to perform tasks requiring fine hand movements
Desired Qualifications
- Community health experience
- Basic footcare certification
- Willingness to obtain basic footcare certification
