Job Summary
Casual part-time night-shift Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) providing planned, patient-oriented nursing care to residents in Cogir Senior Living facilities. You will implement and evaluate care plans, ensure accurate documentation, coach and direct unregulated care providers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support seniors across independent living, assisted living and memory care settings. Required: active RPN registration in the applicable province, Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid, and a Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one); experience with gerontology/long-term care is an asset; strong communication, time-management, teamwork, and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge
- Experience with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred
- Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
- Strong drive, resilience and understanding of emotional and physical demands of the role
- Focus on teamwork and customer service with ability to build trusted relationships
- Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
- Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or willingness to obtain one
