Job Summary
Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and resident plans of care. Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care. Oversee resident admissions, readmissions, status changes, and ongoing assessments while communicating regularly with residents and families. Supervise Personal Support Workers and Unregulated team members assigned to the unit. Foster a welcoming environment through effective teamwork and communication with staff. Ensure delivery of care within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
- Successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check applicable to the appropriate province
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
