Job Summary
Plan, manage, and evaluate nursing care for patients and families within the RPN scope of practice in the Long Term Ventilation/Respiratory Complex Continuing Care. Implement care plans using current theoretical knowledge and team input, while participating in inter-professional rounds and family conferences. Provide mentorship to RPN students and new staff, and contribute to professional development initiatives. Ensure compliance with patient safety responsibilities and hospital policies. This role requires valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, a diploma in Practical Nursing, and recent related clinical experience. Work 20 hours per week in days or evenings at West Park Healthcare Centre.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing and Electronic Patient Record
- Working knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario standards of practice
- Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
- Recent related clinical experience preferred
