Registered Practical Nurse - Long Term Care (PT Causal)

Job Summary
Direct the PSWs on the unit to ensure excellent delivery of care services, including collecting and analyzing data from all care disciplines. Develop, update, and implement care plans for all residents while administering prescribed medications and treatments. Provide continuity of care through accurate reporting and documentation of health changes, ensuring residents maintain comfort, independence, and control. Maintain amicable relations with residents and family members by involving them in care-related decisions. The role requires a Practical Nursing diploma and CNO registration, with experience in supervising direct-care staff. A Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory. Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing diploma
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Experience with supervision of direct-care staff
- Demonstrated ability to assume Unit Nurse responsibilities, to effectively direct staff and resolve conflict
- Ability to collect and analyze data, create care plans and evaluate results
- Ability to effectively follow best practices, policies and procedures of the Home and compliance with Nursing Standards of Practice
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
