Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for individual patients and families while effectively using the nursing process. Provide appropriate learning experiences for patients and families to promote wellness and achieve an optimal quality of life. Maintain professional competence and adhere to standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit. Deliver culturally sensitive, family-centered care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience with the paediatric population (minimum 2 years)
- Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care
- Demonstrated strong family centered care skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of self-motivation, enthusiasm, and flexibility
- Vulnerable Sector Check
