Job Summary
Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician's orders, and resident plans of care at senior living homes in Bradford ON. Identify resident needs to develop and maintain appropriate care plans while ensuring timely admissions. Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, strictly following protocols on all assigned shifts. Maintain good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and apply knowledge of the Nursing Home Act, Health Disciplines Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act. This 3 or 6-month contract includes a competitive compensation package.
Required Qualifications
- Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN)
- Ability to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing
- RPN - Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration
- Knowledge of the requirements of the Nursing Home Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of the Pharmacy Act
- Knowledge of the Food & Drug Act
