Job Summary
Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in a retirement residence provides professional nursing care to residents and, as required, supervises Care Workers and provides direction to the team according to the College of Nurses Standard of Practice. Responsibilities include building meaningful relationships with residents, supporting resident assessment and implementation of individualized care plans, and providing guidance to Care Workers to meet residents' needs while ensuring residents enjoy their day. The role is anchored in professionalism, compassion, and a passion for people, with opportunities to grow within Chartwell's Health and Wellness leadership and corporate support structure.
Required Qualifications
- Your professionalism: a certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and be a member in good standing, along with love, respect and a passion for people!
- A genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience and your desire to learn.
- Build meaningful relationships
- Use your skills to support resident assessment and implementation of individualized care plans
- Provide guidance to Care Workers to meet our resident's needs
