Registered Practical Nurse (Brighton)

Job Summary
Assess and interpret clients' physical and psychological conditions, administer medications, perform treatments, and document care in compliance with legislated standards. Establish rapport with residents to address their physical, social, and psychological needs while collaborating with the medical team to develop personalized care plans. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain medical equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Foster a clean, positive working environment and perform ad hoc duties as assigned. This full-time role offers 8 or 12-hour shifts including day, evening, and night rotations, with on-call and weekend requirements. Candidates must hold a current CNO license and one year of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited and recognized registered practical nursing program
- Current license as a Registered Practical Nurse with CNO, in good standing
- 1+ year of relevant experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Experience working in healthcare community centers, Public and regional health authorities, Clinics, Primary care settings, Nursing homes or Homecare agencies
- Registered Practical Nurse
- Current Certificate of Competence, College of Nurses of Ontario
- CPR
- Valid Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Pharmacology Training & Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- LPN/RPN License (required)
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Desired Qualifications
- CPI, Safe Management is a plus
- Valid Pharmacology Training & Certificate is a plus
