Job Summary
Registered Practical Nurse position in Meaford, Ontario on a full-time contract basis. Provide direct patient care under physicians and RNs in primary/ambulatory care settings, including COVID screening, vaccination assistance, patient history and physical assessments, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and counseling on preventive health care. Requires graduating from a Practical Nursing Program, current licensed status, Standard First Aid and BLS, N95 fit certification, WHMIS, and at least one year of full-time equivalent nursing experience in adult primary/ambulatory care. Benefits include daytime hours, no evenings/weekends, and benefits for >22.5 hours; hourly pay with scheduling via recruitment team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses
- Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice
- Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as CPR/AED Level C
- Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)
- One (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting
