Job Summary
As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Sienna, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a fast-paced environment, supporting health, safety, and overall well-being. You will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and College of Nurses of Ontario standards, document accurately, and follow up on concerns with clients, families, and team members. You will assess residents, develop individualized care plans, and support unregulated care workers through guidance and education, contributing to a culture focused on helping residents live fully every day. Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration are an asset. The role emphasizes promoting self-care and wellness, preventative health education, and holistic care for residents, with duties as assigned. Expect shifts including 1500-2300, and employment is on a part-time basis at Sienna Senior Living in Whitby, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
- Current Medication Administration Certificate.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
